6 goal thriller at the seaside!

Blackpool 2 - 4 Plymouth Argyle

Blackpool and Argyle were both looking for wins going into this game and this one was a crazy game. The match gets underway at Bloomfield as both teams kept coming forward with chances going over and wide from the goal. Blackpool were looking the stronger side after half an hour and they do score and it is deflected of Harding and in. Jordan Brown makes it 1-0 to Blackpool and that was needed. After just six minutes, Argyle are back in the game thanks to Oliver Irow who scores again. Great build up play from Bakinson and it’s a great strike from Irow. The referee blows the whistle for half time, one each at the break.
The second half gets underway and just a few minutes into it Argyle takes the lead and it’s that man again, Oliver Irow! He is in top form for the Pilgrims currently as he makes it 2-1 to Argyle. It’s another for the greens, Harvey White this time with his second of the season. An amazing start to the second half for Argyle, dreadful for Blackpool. Argyle are flying up the table now into third. Blackpool don’t have what they had in the first half but they do put a cross in and they have pulled one back, Jerry Yates is the scorer and it’s 3-2 to Argyle with 25 minutes left. Argyle had to hang on now but they didn’t defend too hard, they were the better team still as we enter the final few minutes. Bim Pepple has a shot but it’s just wide, good chance to seal it. Curtis plays the ball long as Pepple gets it under control and scores, that’s game over. What a finish by the Canadian his 50th appearance for Argyle is a great one.
The full time whistle goes as Argyle win three games in a row and move into third in the league. Blackpool on the other hand lose again and are starting to crumble down the table and need improvements asap.
