Plymouth were hoping for a better performance this time after a very dismal defeat to Stockport. Wycombe were also hoping to get their first win of the season, but it was definitely not going to be easy.

The match gets underway here at Adams Park, Wycombe started very strong, especially down the left hand side. Silko Thomas was looking very lively in the early stages. The game remains goalless after the first twenty minutes as Argyle were trying to get back into it, of course the return of Conor Hazard for Plymouth Argyle, this time guarding the Wycombe goal, there was definitely more hate for Hazard than they thought. Argyle constantly pressing forward as Bradley Ibrahim who had to come on for injured Malachi Boateng under 10 mins in, squares a brilliant pass to Will Evans who finesses it into that top left corner brilliantly, Argyle lead 25 mins in and that’s what they brought will Evans for. Will Evans did score again for Argyle but unfortunately the flag goes up and he was offside, it looked very debatable from Plymouth’s point of view. There wasn’t many other real chances happening after that as the first half went on, lots of disappointing decisions from the referee for both teams though. The referee blows the whistle for half time as Argyle lead at the halfway point.

Second half gets underway, Wycombe were definitely looking the better side this time as Argyle could not get it out of their own half to save their lives, especially when Woodrow came on for Wycombe. Wycombe have a shot in a really good position but it’s an outstanding block from Ibrahim on the line, he has been brilliant for Plymouth today. Constant crosses coming into the box and some decent saves from Murphy Cooper as well, Wycombe do score from Emre Tezgel, on loan from Stoke City but it’s chalked off, Argyle got away with one there. 15 mins to go as Wycombe have a free kick, it comes into the box and its headed in by Connor Taylor the centre half, it has been coming and Wycombe eventually are level. A few chances did come for Argyle after from Ibrahim but both sides were quite wasteful coming towards the end.

The full time whistle goes and it ends in a draw. A very scrappy game to watch but it looked to be a fair result as the points are shared, Argyle pick up their first point of the season, much earlier than last year. Wycombe on the other hand, draw again and couldn’t get the winner this time after trying to hold on against Blackpool. Plymouth set for a few incomings in the next few days.
