Plymouth Argyle 3 - 1 Huddersfield

Argyle beat Huddersfield after a brilliant second half comeback, also the return of Argyle winger Bali Mumba who joined Huddersfield in January. Argyle gets the game underway as Mathias Ross just puts the shot wide 5 minutes in. Huddersfield though come on the counter attack and after a miscommunication from Argyle allows Huddersfield to score, Cameron Humphreys makes it 1-0. Argyle were the more dominant side first half as the referee blows his whistle for half time.

Second half gets underway Argyle win a corner and after so many efforts saved by Huddersfield’s substitute keeper, who came on for Nichols, Owen Dale smashes one home for his first Argyle goal, immediately level in the second half. Argyle just 10 minutes later win a penalty after Ashia pulled Owen Oseni back and the referee points to the spot. Bim Pepple steps up and puts it away as Argyle turn it around in just 15 minutes into the second half. Huddersfield’s second half frustrations were kicking in, as Argyle comes on the break from Owen Dale, Pepple then shoots and Oseni tucks in the rebound after the save to make it 3-1 to Argyle, to put the icing on the cake. Huddersfield couldn’t get round Argyle’s wall as they come forward again as Ross plays it into Oseni but narrowly misses it, it could have been 4 but it was not meant to be.

That is full time Argyle win 3-1 in an excellent second half, Pepple scores again and Oseni returns to the 11 and scores for the first time since Doncaster away on the 20th of December. Argyle move into 7th place one place outside the play offs, whilst Huddersfield drop down to 9th after another disappointing defeat to the Pilgrims.
