Struggling Rotherham scrape past Plymouth

Rotherham United 1 - 0 Plymouth Argyle

Rotherham United played against Plymouth Argyle in a tense game. Both teams started fast and tried to score early. Rotherham did that through their captain Joe Rafferty 7 mins in. Plymouth’s goalkeeper Luca Ashby-Hammond made two world class saves to deny Zak Jules and Sam Nombe. The score was 1-0 at the break.

In the second half, Plymouth went hunting for an equaliser. Rotherham had everyone back to keep the clean sheet to earn a huge win in their bid to escape relegation. The home fans got behind their team as they were creating brilliant chances to double the advantage.

In the 91st minute Argyle thought they got their equaliser, but the flag went up for offside and the goal was disallowed by the referee. Time ran out for the visitors and the match finished 1-0 to Rotherham after a scrappy and hard-fought game”
